Land Rover Experience
Welcome to the new Land Rover Experience Centre at Coed Llandegla Forest. In addition to our venues at Bala and Peckforton, Land Rover Experience Snowdonia is proud to to be able to offer All Terrain Activities from the Award Winning Coed Llandegla Forest Visitor Centre.
From an hours taster session to a full days adventure, there is a wide variety of 4x4 activities available at Coed Llandegla Forest. Even our basic 1 hour session will allow you to get behind the wheel of a brand new Land Rover product. After a short briefing your Instructor will demonstrate the vehicles capabilities before allowing you to try it out for yourself. Be careful though, its addictive and once you have had a taste, you will be wanting more! Our half-day and full-day activities follow the same format, a short briefing and demo drive from your Instructor before allowing you to take control and start to learn all about the vehicle and terrain. The full-day course includes lunch at the renowned Coed Llandegla Forest Visitor Centre and then back out into the forest to give you more experience behind the wheel. If you are really up-for-it then why not get a quick bike ride in afterwards, and realise just how much easier it is in a Land Rover!
A Forest Experience
Coed
Llandegla Forest is one of the largest privately-owned
recreation facilities in North Wales.
The forest has mountain biking trails suitable for beginners and family
groups; more challenging routes for experienced bikers; and a choice of
picturesque walking trails.
All tracks are completely enclosed within the forest, with no main
roads to cross. Within the Visitor Centre there is a café and a variety
of facilities for bikers, all just 7 miles from Wrexham and 14 miles
from Chester.
Coed Llandegla Forest covers 650 hectares and was planted in 1972/73. It is owned and managed by UPM Tilhill. Established for over 50 years, UPM Tilhill is the UK market leader in forestry and timber harvesting. It provides services to owners of over 200,000 hectares of woodland, and manages 22,000 hectares in Wales alone. 50% of the Welsh black grouse population lives within one mile of the forest. It is closely monitored by the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds and the Countryside Council for Wales. Offa’s Dyke long-distance footpath crosses the forest.
